Well, our Write Angle Cabaret at The festival of Chichester is over! and it was a success! Yahoo!

Though we didn't have a packed house, there were enough people to fill the room and the spirit was high! I was so pleased to see all the familiar faces come in...lots from London. .Raymond, Louise & Sue, Jonathan. .and friends from Chichester and Petersfield. I felt so supported! Jackie & Chris, Phyllida, David Stone & David Storer...Natasha, Ann & Derek...and Barry Smith..as well as.several new people. ...and the banners Graham spent hours making up for us...and where there was only Kate Hughes in Audi's poetry wkshp, suddenly there were 5! Audi elected Will Forsythe to be MC at the open mic & it turned out there were several members of the audience with poems to read and one guitarist who arrived too late.
Will, btw, is a very good poet with amazing theatrical presence!

The guest performers were fabulous. Hylda & Kevin Stenson did the Blues in real Southern US jazz mode. Audi performed with everyone in hysterics. Then the Adelita Trio in full dress garb played Brazilian music followed by the spectacular Speech Painter and amazing Will Be!

Credit and big thanks to Sam, Sara & Deborah for setting up the food and drinks and serving efficiently throughout. ..taking the money when people came in...for entry and raffles. ... It was a good day with a lot of hard work put into it but we came through in flying colours! a few mishaps here and there but that happens in even the best of gigs! Thanks to all who were there! Having support from people you know has got to be the warmest feeling!!! love you all!!! xxxxxleah
ps including Alli who convinced me to hold onto the room and do something in moments when I was prepared to give up. Love you, Alli!!!!!
