  Richard Staplehurst  
 

 

Richard Staplehurst is the Artistic Director & Creator of Schauplatz Theatre Company, GLEE: By The Sea/In The City (A Community Performance Show Choirs) a 'Theatrical Creator' (used to sum up someone whom is involved in many aspects of the theatre genre).
He is also the CO-Creator of The Alexandra Theatre's (Bognor Regis) BIG PHAT BRAND NEW OPEN MIC CABARET CLUB along with good friend Jamie Kluckers Who will also be attending.

Richard is currently touring the UK with his solo Physical Theatre performance 'Uber' based on the Hollocaust during WWII aswell as running the educational workshops on creating work from historical stimuli which compliment his work to College & School Level Students.

Current works in Both London and the south are 'Known Unto God' (Endorsed by Help for Heros & The British Legion) staged at The New Dograma Theatre, Camden (Scenepool) and Snake Bite - The Musical (Commissioned by Chichester Universities Student Support Dept).

Richard works closely within the West Sussex area, With involvment in Chichester University (Musical Theatre Dept), The Alexandra Theatre (Bognor Regis) and CSA- Centre Stage Academy (Chichester/Midhurst).

Richard is pleased to be welcomed to Write Angle and hope you will enjoy a selection of varied peices from his many projects, extracts include;

Richard Will be joined on the night by members of the Cast of Known Unto God (Prior to its Professional London Debut 30th May), fellow member of Schauplatz Theatre Natasha Chirstofis and Musical Director MArc Yarrow (Glee:By The Sea/Snake Bite :The Musical).
