BIOs
Son of the jazz trumpeter Vic Wood, Chris’s musical education started from the
day he was born. By the time he was 11 he had a bass in his hand, and by 13 he
was performing with Vic’s Jazz Funk group. By 18, Chris was Billy Ocean’s Musical Director, and spent subsequent years on studio tours with him and
other A-List artists. As a session bassist, Chris has performed and recorded with
hundreds of artists over his career, and in recent years has turned his hand to
production and film composition.
John Gleadall has enjoyed a musical career since his youth, playing in function
bands and teaching music avidly all his life; his band The Crooners played
constantly for nearly 30 years, bringing their beautiful close harmony singing to
weddings and functions all around the south. Also a creative, John has written
music in several styles, turning his hand to musical theatre creation later in his
career. In recent years, John has created original musical theatre with the
playwright Greg Mosse, even having one of their pieces showcased on the West
End. Consummate guitarist, vocalist, storyteller and creative, John is a joy to
watch.
DiElle, singer-songwriter hailing from the idyllic village setting of Wickham on
the South Coast of England, has a knack for hard hitting, brutally honest lyrics,
an ear for soaring melody and a voice that could bring a tear to the eye of even
the most stone hearted souls. DiElle had a strong interest in music from a young
age, her Dad thrusting a guitar into her hands at the age of 3. Despite very early
signs of creativity, writing several stories and poems (including one tear jerking
poetic rabbit eulogy) and signs of vocal talent from age 8, it wasn’t until her
teens that DiElle began her venture into the realms of song writing.
Now, seasoned performer, with 3 studio albums behind her which enjoy regular
global radio play, DiElle has begun composing score for movies, having been
approached on social media by an independent filmmaker from Los Angeles.
John, Chris and DiElle crossed paths on their local music scene many moons ago,
and are just three friends who enjoy creating, singing and performing together.
Performing original music of their own, and songs they love, their sound is
Eagles-esque with a flavour of golden oldies folk-pop groups, with the odd
modern twist. You can hear them performing at arts centres and small theatres
around the country, as well as festivals, radio and occasional TV. |
